No Excuses! | Seattle Boudoir Photographer | Tacoma Boudoir Photography| Puyallup, WA
This blog post is dedicated to excuses!
I remember when I was gearing up for my own session, I created a TON of ideas for how I could get out of it! I was completely ready to tell my photographer: I am not feeling well. I don't want to take up too much of your time. I don't have my outfits squared away. I don't LOVE my outfits yet. I wanted to loose 10 more pounds before this session. I have GAINED 10 pounds since I booked the session...the list goes on and on!
I 1000% understand the art of excuse making! However, I know now, that in the grand scheme...they were bullshit excuses! My session was amazing despite all of the things that I did, or did not, make up in my mind!
That brings me to Miss T's session. She had some massive stressors in her life. Reasons, that she VERY easily could have used as an excuse to reschedule her session. That being said, she was a freaking rockstar, and overcame ALL of her excuses!!!!
Miss T emailed me about one week before her session and let me know that she: had the flu, JUST bought a house, was working 40 hours a week, started 40 hours a week school (literally the week of our session!), she was courting a new man, and she was having some expensive interior issues with her brand new home!!!! Really ladies, the list goes on (and none of these were made up!!!).
With all of the things going on in her life...there was a part of me that assumed she was about to reschedule...OR WORSE, cancel her session. I am so proud to say that she walked into the studio door with a reluctant smile, but an amazing attitude!!!!
She immediately let me know that she was extra bloated and had paint in her hair (she already started to make improvements on her new home). However, I could tell that she dusted it all off and was extremely present! By the time she was done having her hair and make-up done; she was ready to roll!!!
In the images below, I DARE you to see a woman with 1,000,000 excuses! Guarantee you won't see that. I see a beautiful woman who has many amazing things to celebrate!
This is why you come to me. When you walk into the studio, you are a blank slate. I am excited from the moment you walk in, to the hours after you leave! I like to think that the time spent in my studio, is a moment frozen in time. A moment where you can forget all of the excuses, responsibilities, the past, and the future. It is a neutral environment for me to show you how truly amazing and beautiful you are.
